The Hanging Gate – Blogmas Day 24

I’ve talked about our annual visit to the Hanging Gate in previous blog posts and yesterday the day finally came for us to go.
For the last day of blogmas I thought I would leave you all with a review of my all time favourite tradition.

As always, walking in through the little barn like door took my breath away! It felt like walking into a Winter Wonderland in the North Pole!

Just look how amazing this place is!!!

A Special Thank You

In previous years when we have visited, my sister has had a reaction to something she has eaten which was cooked with egg. This year we wanted to make sure it wouldn’t happen again so on entering, I mentioned it to our waitress Shannon.
I couldn’t thank her enough for the effort she went to, to ensure we had a happy visit and nothing would effect my sister.
She even brought out the boss Mark to speak to us to make sure everything was 100% confirmed and we we’re all happy.
This is something we’ve never experienced before when going out for a meal so we definitely we’re so incredibly happy with the service!!

The Food

or the first time ever, we all decided to have three courses.

I had
Starter Cheesy Garlic bread and BBQ sauce

Main Three meat roast dinner with all the trimmings

Dessert warm chocolate fudge cake and ice cream

I was way too excited when I got my starter and main that I completely forgot to take a photo, but I did get a photo of Stephen’s and Lewis’ (even if they had already started eating it) to give you a little look into just how big the servings are. For the price it is so worth it!!!

The chocolate cake was the biggest slice ever!!!
Every year I look forward to the food and I am never disappointed!! This year was the first year that I actually payed attention to the pricing and I was so surprised at how cheap it actually was. I was expecting it to be around £15 for the three meat roast dinner but it was only £9.95 and the place was so big and full.

At the end of the meal, I was well and truly stuffed!! It was an amazing day and the perfect start to the Christmas week!!

If you’re ever near Chapel En Le Frith you definitely need to check this place out. Just an ordinary country pub which turns into a magical winter wonderland at Christmas!!
A Christmas Dream.

Merry Christmas Everyone I hope you have a brilliant time!!!
All my love
